Are you ready? Murph 2018 is just around the corner!
The Murph Challenge is the Official annual fundraiser of the LT. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation. Crossfit Purgatory proudly hosts this event every year, and this tradition will continue for 2018. While honoring Lt. Michael Murphy and his sacrifice, as well as the sacrifice of all those who gave their lives in the line of duty, the annual Murph Challenge is also one of the primary means of funding for the Foundation on an annual basis. Since 2014, Forged® has raised nearly $1,000,000 for the LT. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation through The Murph Challenge campaign. With such overwhelming support and success, the Foundation was able to add four additional scholarships in 2017, now providing the opportunity to award 27 or more scholarships each year! Participants of the Memorial Day Murph at Crossfit Purgatory are not required to officially register to participate in the workout, but if you are able and willing to support the cause, please consider clicking the link below!

In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005 during Operation Red Wings.
This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it “Body Armor”. From here on it will be referred to as “Murph” in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.
Gym doors open at 6:00am, with an opening ceremony at 6:30 and the first heat promptly at 7:00, with heats running every 45 minutes thereafter. We'll run a kids heat early on if there's enough interest! Watch for heats and sign up information in the coming weeks! Click the link below to sign-up for a heat.
Donations will be also accepted during the event for the Michael Murphy Scholarship Fund.
