1/20 Workout of the Day

There's never going to be a point where I feel I have stressed the importance of mobility work, down time and rest too much.  I hope those of you who attended Tim Hanson's clinic got something out of it.  We work our bodies hard.  We push them to the brink.  Taking time to allow it to heal and providing maintenance is just as essential in your regime as the workout itself.  Your body is no different that your car - you have to properly fuel it (sleep, food, hydration), as well as get it tuned up at regular intervals (taking a week off every quarter or so, getting massage, doing yoga, ROLFing).  Staying injury free is essential for all athletes.  Being stuck on the sideline is no fun.  Please DO NOT forget that we offer Yoga on Tuesdays at 8am and Wednesdays at 7:15pm.  Also, I hope you all occasionally follow the mobililty WOD site and do some work on your own a couple times a week.  You can find the site at www.mobilitywod.com  3-2-1-GO!

 

Workout of the Day:

4 rounds with 30 sec rest between for total time:
5 burpees and 100m sprint

then
Tabata front squats and ab mat situps (alternating)
