A note from Corbin & Dawna....

Greetings from the airport in Salt Lake City, Utah!

Some of you may know, but many of you possibly don't, that we've spent the last handful of days meeting with other like-minded gym owners from across the country. We are returning to Tucson refreshed, recharged and incredibly excited about the remainder of 2018. For the same reasons a gym member needs the guidance of a Coach to stay motivated, accountable, successful, safe, and cared for, we need a community of like-minded professional and successful gym owners to help us stay accountable and committed to our business practices. Gymmin' ain't easy. This is a fact. Running a gym is one of the hardest things we have ever done, and it's a work in progress. We are learning what it takes to run a successful, financially stable, thriving gym without getting burned out...

And we are coming back to you with minds bursting with So! Many! Ideas! We want to do all the things. We have evaluated some of the steps we've taken over the last few months, and we're excited to get started on the action steps which will take us to the next level.

Our mission has always been to help each and every single one of YOU be the best person you can be - to provide the knowledge, the support, the accountability, the encouragement, the community to help you get there, and we're working to make sure there is no one better qualified to do so. The workout is only one vehicle to help you reach your next level: it also takes knowledge, accountability, coaches who care, and an infallible support team and community. We want you to leave our gym happier than when you first walked in. Just like in learning how to coach, it is our responsibility to constantly learn from the best so we can build the greatest gym you never want to leave, because our mission is nothing less than to reach that goal.

There are sooooo many moving parts when it comes to running a successful facility, and it all starts with a solid team who are happy at what they do best.  We are constantly working to develop a stellar team who know we will do anything to support their growth and development. We hope they know we want to showcase their strengths and help them lead a life where they can both make a decent living doing what they love, and enjoy time with their family and friends outside our walls.

We can always do better. Always. And we want you to know we are always looking for ways to make us and Purgatory better.

It's been a little over 2 years since we took the reins at Crossfit Purgatory, and our hope is to begin dedicating more of our time to learning how to lead better. Thank you for allowing us to invest some time in soaking up some knowledge this past weekend from a variety of resources within and outside our industry. From here, we will continue to fine tune and improve upon our existing systems so we are more consistent with how we reward and care for our existing members and staff.

This is a two way street.

This relationship goes both ways. We expect you to give us feedback.  We want to hear it all. We will listen, do our best to respond to your needs in a timely manner and hope that you feel comfortable telling us what you’re loving, what you’d like to see more of, or what you would like us to improve upon.

We will be sending out a Member Survey at the end of this week that we will ask our people to take to heart. We need ALL the feedback to make sure we're on the right path.  All we ask is for you to give us the opportunity to improve upon the services we provide YOU.

Our team of Coaches at Crossfit Purgatory strongly believe in improving our clients' quality of life. Our mission is to help each and every one of you do the things you might have once thought was impossible. We’re in this for the long haul, and we hope you plan to stick around and make that haul with us.

For those of you who have been with us since the beginning, THANK YOU!! For the rest of you who joined us somewhere along the way- THANK YOU!!! For taking a chance on us. For believing in us. For giving us the opportunity to serve you and your families. We promise you that we will NEVER stop trying to deliver on our commitment to each of you.

See you in the gym,

Corbin & Dawna

Even though I'm not a full fledged member, I am so appreciative of the continued warmth, energy and encouragement I receive when I drop in. I've been doing workouts here since 2010 and am excited to see how you both continue to carry out the Purgee tradition while continuing to move forward. Go Purgatory!
